1909 E92 Dockman Sons Al Bridwell - SGC NM/MT 88 - Highest Graded! (1 : 1)

Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $1,293

Graded NM/MT 88 by SGC. Highest-graded example to date by PSA or SGC! A rare caramel issue from 1909, Croft's Candy shares a similar design with several other related candy issues (Dockman Gum, Nadja Caramels, etc.) from the same era. The offered sample card of Al Bridwell from the New York Giants has virtually perfect centering, four sharp corners, and a brilliant horizontal image set against a vibrant colored background. The back is also bright and clean, with bold text. Caramel cards, of course, are rarely found in high grade. This is a spectacular strong NM/MT example from this rare, early twentieth-century candy issue. Reserve $300. Estimate $500+ . SOLD FOR $1,293
