1936 John Player and Son "Championship Golf Courses" Complete Set (25): #1 PSA Set Registry!

Extraordinary high-grade complete 25-card set of 1936 John Player and Son "Championship Golf Courses" cards. Each card features an overhead diagram of the most famous championship golf courses from the United Kingdom, including St. Andrews. This is currently the number-one All-Time Finest set in the world on the PSA Registry! Each card has been graded and encapsulated by PSA. The set includes one GEM MINT 10, nine MINT 9s, fourteen NM-MT 8s, and one EX 5. The PSA registry overall weighted GPA rating is 8.32. The PSA grades are as follows: One GEM MINT 10: #22 Cooden Beach (this is the only PSA 10 ever given to any card from this issue). Nine MINT 9: #6, 8, 9, 13 Lytham & St. Annes, 14, 16, 17, 18, and 20. Fourteen NM-MT 8: #1 St Andrews, 2, 3 Muirfield, 4 St. George's, 5 Prestwick Golf Club, 7, 10 Carnoutsie, 11, 12, 15, 21, 23, 24, and 25 Woodhall (last card of set). One EX 5: #19. Nineteen of these cards are the highest-ever PSA-graded examples. The finest set in the world of this scarce and distinctive 1930s golf set.
