1929 Rogers Peet #24 Bobby Jones - PSA EX-MT 6
Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $1,410
Graded EX-MT 6 by PSA. Only example graded at this level by PSA, with just one example graded higher. Extremely high grade example of this classic Bobby Jones card featuring an image of Jones in a swing-thru pose. This is one of the rarest multisport issues of the late 1920s. This series was a promotional vehicle for a chain of boys' clothing stores in the New York and Boston areas. Each boy visiting the store with a parent would receive four cards to be stored in a 14-page album specifically designed for this issue. Three golfers are included in the 44-card set. Other sports featured in the set include baseball, football, hockey, tennis, swimming, track, and aviation. This extremely high grade Rogers Peet of Jones is an outstanding example of one of his rarest cards. It is perfectly clean, both front and back, with a flawless image, four square corners, snow-white borders, and a flawless reverse. Centered to the right (approximately 65/35 L/R). This is one of the rarest of all Bobby Jones cards, and one of the keys to the Rogers Peet set. The SMR value for the assigned grade is $1,000. Reserve $300. Estimate $500+. SOLD FOR $1,410
