High-grade example of the Chicago Cubs press pin issued for the 1929 World Series against the Philadelphia Athletics. This pin has always been highly regarded both for its rarity (it is one of the most difficult to find of the era) and its very striking design. The center design features a bear holding a bat while the alternating white and red enamel borders read "World Series Press 1929 Chicago." This is an outstanding example of this highly prized pin, displaying perfect enamel and only the slightest amount of handling wear. Manufactured by Hipp & Coburn Co.; threaded-post back.
