Three DiMaggio Brothers Signed Ball and Photographic Display

Starting Bid - $400, Sold For - $705

Addendum: This lot includes a Yankees "Living Legends" lithograph (25 x 32 inches; Ex, with tape residue on reverse) signed by DiMaggio in blue Sharpie ("10'). The lithograph was mistakenly left out of the catalog description.

This lot, comprised of a signed ball, photographic display, and signed lithograph pays homage to the greatest sibling trio in Major League history: the DiMaggio Brothers: Joe, Dom, and Vince. 1) Official American League (MacPhail) ball signed in blue ink by Joe, Dom, and Vince DiMaggio. Joe's signature (grading "9"), as one would expect, occupies the sweet spot, while those of Dom ("9") and Vince ("7") appear, respectively, on the side panels directly above and below Joe's name. The ball is slightly toned; otherwise it is in Near Mint condition. Balls signed by all three brothers are scarce and this the first example we have ever offered. 2) Framed wall display featuring individually signed 3 x 5-inch black-and-white photos of Joe, Dom, and Vince DiMaggio (all appear to be Burke photos). Joe has signed his photo in blue Sharpie (grading "9"); Vince in black ink ("9"); and Dom in blue ink ("10"), with the added personalization "To Steve Knapp/Best Wishes." Vince's photo displays a few small tears and is in Very Good condition. Dom's photos grades Vg-Ex; Joe's is Ex. The three photos are matted together with an original 8 x 6-inch wire photo (Ex) picturing the three brothers posing together at an Old Timers' Day game at Fenway Park in 1986. Framed to total dimensions of 19.5 x 15.5 inches. Also included is a Yankees "Living Legends" litho (25 x 32 inches; Ex, with tape residue on reverse) signed by DiMaggio in blue Sharpie ("10'). LOA from James Spence/JSA. Reserve $400. Estimate $800/$1,200. SOLD FOR $705
