1957 Topps Complete Set (407)

Starting Bid - $1,000, Sold For - $8,225

60% Nr/Mt or better, 35% range from Ex to Ex-Mt, 5% lesser. Incredibly strong high-quality complete set of 1957 Topps. This set has been put away for ages by an old-time collector. His active baseball-card collecting days were long over before professional grading became popular but he was always interested in only high-grade sets. This set is one of his finest. It is a beautiful high-grade set that has remained untouched for decades. We have selected ten cards to be graded and encapsulated by PSA. Keys: #1 T. Williams (PSA VG-EX 4), 2 Berra (PSA NM 7), 10 Mays (Ex-Mt), 18 Drysdale RC (Ex-Mt), 20 Aaron (PSA NM 7), 25 Ford (Ex-Mt), 30 Reese (Nr/Mt), 35 F. Robinson RC (PSA EX-MT 6), 55 Banks (Nr/Mt), 76 Clemente (PSA EX-MT 6), 90 Spahn (Nr/Mt), 95 Mantle (PSA EX-MT+ 6.5), 97 Yankees Team (Nr/Mt), 125 Kaline (Nr/Mt), 165 Kluszewski (70/30 L/R, otherwise Nr/Mt), 170 Snider (Ex-Mt), 210 Campanella (Nr/Mt), 212 Colavito RC (Nr/Mt), 250 Mathews (Ex), 286 Richardson RC (Nr/Mt), 302 Koufax (PSA VG-EX 4), 312 Kubek RC (Nr/Mt), 324 Dodgers Team (Ex-Mt), 328 B. Robinson RC (PSA NM 7), 338 Bunning RC (Ex), 400 Dodgers' Sluggers (PSA VG 3), and 407 Mantle/Berra (PSA EX 5). The 1957 Topps set has always been very popular with collectors due to its classic photographic style and inclusion of so many stars. This is a very sharp-looking, mostly very high grade, extremely high-quality set. Total 407 cards. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,000/$4,000. SOLD FOR $8,225
