1919-1978 Unusual Baseball Card Issues Hall of Famer Rookie Collection (26)

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $1,998

Very unusual and eclectic collection of twenty-six different cards comprised exclusively of Hall of Famers (most or all qualifying as rookies), spanning the years 1919 to 1978, including representation from seventeen different classic issues, each graded by PSA or SGC. These are all extremely attractive examples (includes some unusual rarities in various lower grades), carefully assembled one card at a time for inclusion in the world-class personal collection of a very dedicated and scholarly Hall of Fame rookie-card collector. This is an unusual group, and as can be seen, it is far from a random group. This lot includes many unusual rookie cards that are ideal for inclusion in a comprehensive Hall of Fame rookie-card collection, of which these cards were once a part of one of the best ever assembled. 1) 1919-1921 W514: #16 Southworth (SGC GOOD 30). 2) 1920 W519: #13 Frisch (SGC Auth). 3) 1920 W520: #18 Kelly (PSA Authentic). 4) 1920 W522: #47 Coveleski (PSA Authentic; it is interesting to note Stan's name is misspelled "Koveleski"). 5) 1921-1930 M.L.
