1965 Fleer Gomer Pyle Vending Card Hoard (3,000+ cards including 31 Complete Sets!)

Starting Bid - $1,000, Sold For - $5,288

"Gaaw-aawl-ly!" (Sorry, we couldn't help ourselves.) This enormous collection of untouched, virtually perfect 1965 Fleer Gomer Pyle trading cards is comprised of two 500-count vending boxes of unsorted cards plus thirty-one complete sets (66 cards per set) that were long ago assembled by our consignor from cards originating from other vending boxes. Nearly all of the cards appear to be in Ex-Mt to Mint condition (averaging Nr/Mt-Mt), with just a few in slightly lesser grades. While it is impossible to provide guarantees with reference to grading of vending material, there is, of course, the very real possibility that within this collection are many cards that would grade MINT by PSA or SGC. These cards have remained literally untouched since 1965, aside from handling from sorting. Total: 3,046 cards (including thirty-one complete sets). Reserve $1,000. Estimate (open).
