1962 Topps Civil War News MINT Unopened Cello Pack Collection (4)
Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $1,293
Collection of four ultra high grade MINT unopened 1962 Topps Civil War News cello packs, with each pack featuring a different key Norm Saunders card on top. MINT Civil War News cello packs are desirable with any card on top, but these were specially saved by our consignor due to the special ideal combination of their superior condition and their inclusion of a key card showing (with "key card," of course, referring to the absolutely most gruesome, gory, and popular artworks of the Civil War News set). The top cards are #11 Attack, #12 Bloody Combat, #34 Wall of Corpses, and #55 The Silent Drum. Each pack has twelve cards (although we can give no guarantees on third-party grading, there is no doubt that many or all forty-eight cards would all grade NM-MT or MT) plus one piece of "Civil War currency." All four packs from this extremely popular set, which chronicles the rich history of the Civil War, have been graded and encapsulated Mint 9 by GAI. These unopened packs are tightly wrapped, were long ago pulled out as the very best from boxes from the original Civil War News cello find of many years ago, and look exactly as they did when they were shipped to candy stores and distributors in 1962. Total 4 packs. Reserve $200. Estimate $400/$800. SOLD FOR $1,293
