1956 Topps Davy Crockett #1 "King Of The Wild Frontier" - PSA MINT 9 - Highest Graded!

Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $1,763

Graded MINT 9 by PSA. Highest-graded example of the key card from the set! One of only two examples graded at this level with none graded higher. Outstanding ultra-high grade condition-sensitive #1 card, entitled "King Of The Wild Frontier," from the 1956 Topps Davy Crockett set. This card represents the entire Davy Crocket set to many collectors, and with good reason. It is easy to see why it was given the honor of card #1. As card #1, it is also the key condition rarity of the set. The card is perfectly centered, with four pack-fresh corners, a flawless image, and snow-white borders. The orange reverse is bright and perfectly clean. SMR value is $500. We have found that at auction cards from extremely popular sets with very low populations in the highest grades often sell for far more than SMR, and this is especially the case with condition rarities from classic vintage sets. This is a stunning ultra-high grade 1956 Topps "Davy Crockett" card, the highest-graded example. Reserve $300. Estimate $500+. SOLD FOR $1,763
