1941 Brooklyn Dodgers World Series Full Ticket Signed By DiMaggio, Reese, Rizzuto, and Others
Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $1,528
Complete full ticket for Game 5 of the 1941 World Series between the New York Yankees and Brooklyn Dodgers at Ebbets Field, signed on the front by Joe DiMaggio, and on the reverse by Pee Wee Reese, Phil Rizzuto, Tommy Henrich, and Marius Russo. All of the signatures have been flawlessly scripted in blue Sharpie (grading "10"). Full World Series tickets are rare and this example represents the final game from the Series, won by the Yankees. The ticket also commemorates the first of an eventual seven "subway" series between the cross-town rivals over the next sixteen years. There is a small amount of surface paper loss on the reverse as a result of its removal from an album; otherwise, the ticket (7.25 x 2.25 inches) is in outstanding Excellent to Mint condition. LOA from James Spence/JSA. Reserve $200. Estimate $400+.
