1963 Topps #300 Willie Mays - PSA MINT 9

Starting Bid - $1,000, Sold For - $1,293

Graded MINT 9 by PSA. Pack-fresh gem with flawless colors and gloss, perfect clarity, and four razor-sharp corners. Centered very slightly to the left. A quick look at the PSA Population Report shows that an almost incredible 1,155 examples of this card have been graded to date. Of these, however, only twenty-five have graded PSA MINT 9, with just one PSA 10 example ever graded. 1963 Topps cards typically suffer from a variety of condition problems due to the flush-to-the-border design, which make Mint examples particularly difficult to find. This is a world-class card, far exceeding the expectations for 1963 Topps. It would be hard to imagine a finer example. SMR value in the assigned grade is $2,200. Reserve $1,000. Estimate (open). SOLD FOR $1,293
