1963 Topps #537 Pete Rose Rookie - PSA MINT 9
Starting Bid - $2,500, Sold For - $9,400
Graded MINT 9 by PSA. Out of the 2,261 examples PSA has graded to date, just 26 have been graded MINT 9, with only one graded higher. Extraordinary ultra high-grade example of Pete Rose’s rookie card. One of card collecting's greatest classics, Rose's rookie card is the key to the 1963 Topps set, and one of the most popular of all postwar baseball cards. This card is particularly difficult to find in high grade due to the flush-to-the-border design, which makes the top edges and corners so susceptible to wear. The card displays virtually perfect centering, with bright colors and four razor-sharp corners. Perfectly clean both front and back, this is a strong card in all respects, and an exceptionally high grade example of the key card to the 1963 Topps set. SMR value for the assigned grade is $9,500. Reserve $2,500. Estimate $5,000++. SOLD FOR $9,400
