1888-1889 A16 and A17 Allen & Ginter World's Champions Albums (2)

Two Allen & Ginter premium albums, First and Second Series (1888 and 1889), representing a complete set of the classic A&G Champions albums. 1) First Series 1888 A16 Allen & Ginter Premium Album features images of all fifty cards from the N28 Allen & Ginter set (including Anson, Kelly, Clarkson, Comiskey, etc.). Some very minor corner and edge wear, a couple of very tiny tears at the binding holes (of no significance but mentioned for accuracy), and a small piece of paper residue on the back cover (appears to be a remnant of a mailing label; extremely minor), otherwise in Excellent condition with original binding string. The interior pages are virtually flawless. 2) Second Series 1889 A17 Allen & Ginter Premium Album featuring all fifty cards from the N29 Allen & Ginter set (including Ewing, etc.). Front cover has a surface abrasion along the top left edge and some light creases, back cover has a small tear on the left edge and some minor creases, but otherwise outstanding eye-appeal with an Ex appearance. Original binding string. Interior pages are Nr/Mt. Complete set of both World's Champions albums issued by Allen & Ginter. Strong condition for these classic, extremely popular and colorful premium albums which represent such an outstanding value among nineteenth-century tobacco issues. Total 2 albums. Reserve $800.
