High-Grade 1952 Topps High Numbers PSA-Graded Collection (6)
Starting Bid - $1,000, Sold For - $7,050
Collection of six high-grade 1952 Topps rare high number series cards (#311-407) including the rookie card of Hall of Fame pitcher Hoyt Wilhelm. Each card has been graded and encapsulated by PSA. One card is graded NM-MT 8, two NM+ 7.5s, and three NM 7s. These cards are part of a small but extremely high grade cache of 1952 Topps high number series cards that were carefully stored away, untouched, for decades. Every card in the stack was a pack-fresh gem with perfect gloss. We were so impressed with the overall condition that we submitted every single card in the collection to PSA for grading. These six cards were the highest-graded cards from the larger collection of forty cards (balance offered in separate lots). The PSA grades are as follows: One NM-MT 8: #365 Lavagetto. Two NM+ 7.5: #395 Pitler and 399 Fridley. Three NM 7: #371 Hofman, 392 Wilhelm (rookie card), and 403 Miller. This is a very crisp, clean, high-grade group. SMR value for this group is $4,915. Total 6 cards. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,000/$4,000+. SOLD FOR $7,050
