1952 Topps #311 Mickey Mantle

Starting Bid - $2,000, Sold For - $10,575

Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA. Very strong Vg-Ex example of 1952 Topps #311 Mickey Mantle. One of card collecting's greatest classics, Mantle's Topps rookie card is the key to the 1952 Topps set, one of the most famous of all cards, and the single most popular and valuable postwar baseball card. This is a sharp example. Bright, clean, and crisp, with four square corners, no creases, and a bold blue background. Centered 70/30 left to right and 60/40 top to bottom. If not for the centering, and a tiny mark on the perfectly clean reverse, this card would grade Excellent. This is a magnificent and extremely attractive mid-grade example of Mickey Mantle's most celebrated card in an extremely desirable grade. Reserve $2,000. Estimate $4,000/$6,000. SOLD FOR $10,575
