1888 N173 Goodwin Old Judge Cabinet Harry Wright

Starting Bid - $1,000, Sold For - $7,050

Graded FAIR 20 by SGC. 1888 N173 Goodwin Old Judge portrait of Hall of Famer Harry Wright. The legendary manager and founder of the 1869 Cincinnati Red Stockings appears in the Old Judge set in his later years as the manager of the Philadelphia Nationals. This is a magnificent example of one of the rarest and most desirable of all Old Judge cabinet Hall of Famers. Even among small Old Judges, Harry Wright is among the rarest. This is an outstanding example of one of Harry Wright's few baseball cards, one of his most impressive, and one of the most elusive key rarities among all N173 Old Judge cabinet Hall of Famers. Bright and crisp, both front and back, with superb contrast, appropriately downgraded by SGC due to light surface abrasions in the right corners (especially the top right corner), toning on lower border, and ink marks in the center of the reverse; this is a beautiful card with an outstanding portrait that is otherwise in Excellent condition. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,000/$3,000. SOLD FOR $7,050
