1941 Play Ball Hall of Fame PSA-Graded Collection (10)
Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $1,293
Collection of ten different Hall of Famers from the 1941 Play Ball bubble-gum series issued by Gum, Inc., highlighted by Jimmie Foxx, Hank Greenberg, and Bill Dickey. Each card is graded and encapsulated by PSA. The collection consists of the following: #6 Hubbell (EX 5), 8 Ott (EX 5), 10 Vaughan (EX 5), 13 Foxx (EX 5), 15 Cronin (EX 5), 18 Greenberg (NM 7), 20 Ruffing (EX-MT 6), 60 Klein (EX 5 mc), 64 Doerr (EX-MT 6), and 70 Dickey (VG 3, incredibly strong card for the grade, could easily be mistaken for Ex at a glance). This is a very attractive collection which could serve as an excellent start toward assembling the set, or serve as an impressive representation of the issue. The SMR value of nine cards from the group (not including the one qualified card) is $1,765. Total 10 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$1,500. SOLD FOR $1,293
