Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $353
Graded NM 7 by PSA. Extremely high grade example of Hall of Famer Earle Combs from the 1934 World Wide Gum Canadian Goudey series. This example of #21 Earle Combs is exceptionally crisp and clean, both front and back, with four sharp corners, centered slightly to the left (approximately 30/70 L/R), and with a flawless reverse with bold green lettering. In addition to being an important member of the club’s famed “Murderers' Row” lineup in 1927, Combs also played on two additional World Championship clubs (1928 and 1932). He finished his career with a .325 average, a mark that ranks forty-second on the all-time list. Combs was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1970. This a very attractive high-grade Hall of Famer example from this rare Canadian Goudey series. Reserve $200. Estimate (open). SOLD FOR $353
