Presented is an unusual collection of twenty-eight prewar cards (24 different), spanning the years 1911 to 1923, including representation from five different highly regarded issues. Included are a few Hall of Famers and scarce cards from some of the most desirable sets of the era. 1) 1911-1914 D304 Brunners (4 cards): Barry (70/30 T/B, otherwise Vg-Ex/Ex) and three Kelly (two Vg-Ex/Ex, one Vg-Ex). 2) 1921 E121 American Caramel Series of 80 (4 cards): Heilmann (HOF; Vg, name is misspelled on the card as “Heilman”), Morton (trimmed, otherwise Ex), Peckinpaugh (Vg-Ex, name is misspelled on the card as “Peckinbaugh”), and Severeid (Gd). 3) 1922 E121 American Caramel Series of 120 (12 cards): Bigbee (Vg), Causey (Vg), Copper (trimmed, no right border), Davis (Vg), Gaston (trimmed, otherwise Vg), Gibson (Vg), Mails (trimmed, otherwise Vg), Mulligan (80/20 L/R, otherwise Vg-Ex), Nunamaker (Ex), Sewell (HOF; Vg), Smith (Vg), and Topocer (trimmed, otherwise Ex). 4) 1923 V117 Maple Crispette (4 cards): #4 Collins (HOF; Gd-Vg), 14 Wingo (Vg), 18 Jacobson (Vg-Ex), and 24 Ruel (Vg). 5) 1923 V100 Williard’s Chocolate (4 cards): three Baker (HOF; one Ex, two Vg) and Cruise (trimmed, otherwise Vg).
