1911 M110 Sporting Life Cabinet Larry Lajoie
Starting Bid - $2,000, Sold For - $7,638
Graded VG 40 by SGC. Very attractive example of Hall of Famer Napoleon Lajoie from the M110 Sporting Life cabinet-card set issued in 1911. This auction includes the complete M110 set, assembled and presented by the same consignor, with each card offered individually. This is one of Lajoie's rarest and most attractive cards, and one of the key Hall of Famers in the set. M110s are similar in design to, but far rarer than, the contemporary T3 Turkey Red cabinets. These cards have always been highly respected for their extreme rarity as well as their impressive design and distinctive style. This card is bright and crisp, with light, even corner wear, minor wear along the right edge, and a couple light creases on the top and right borders. The back is perfectly clean with just some very light shading along the right and bottom edges. This is a striking example of one of Lajoie’s rarest and most impressive cards in spectacular condition. Dimensions: 5-5/8 x 7-1/2 inches. Reserve $2,000. Estimate $4,000+. SOLD FOR $7,638
