Collection of thirty-seven mostly 1910-era tobacco and candy cards from eight different classic sets including one E107 Breisch-Williams, seven E92 Dockman & Sons, five E95 Philadelphia Caramels, three E101 Anonymous "Set of 50," three E91 American Caramels, five E93 Standard Caramels, eleven T207 "Brown Backgrounds," and two 1887 N172 Old Judges. This is a very unusual and interesting collection of vintage cards. 1) 1903 E107 Breisch-Williams: Tenney (Pr). 2) 1909 E92 Dockman & Sons (7 cards): Three Vg: Bescher, Bridwell, and Magee; four Pr: Davis, Doyle, and Tinker (HOF). 3) 1909 E95 Philadelphia Caramel (5 cards): Three Gd-Vg: Hoffman, McIntyre, and Merkle; two Pr: Evers (HOF) and Willis (HOF). 4) 1909 E101 Anonymous "Set of 50" (3 cards): All grade Pr: Bemis, Bescher, and Schaefer. 5) 1909-1911 E91 American Caramel (3 cards): Donlin (set A, Vg), Hooper (set C, HOF, Fr-Gd), and Speaker (set C, HOF, Pr). 6) 1910 E93 Standard Caramel (5 cards): All grade Pr: Evers (HOF), Griffith (HOF), Jennings (HOF), McGraw (HOF), and Pastorious. 7) 1912 T207 Brown Background (11 cards): Four Vg: Becker, Crandall, Lapp, and Strunk; six Fr-Gd: Devore, Doyle, Lord (Phil.), Oldring, Reulbach, and Steinfeldt; one trimmed Miller (Pitt.). 8) 1887 N172 Old Judge: Cahill/Indianapolis and 1889 Daley/Boston (both grade Pr). This unusual assemblage represents the vintage "odds 'n' ends" of a fascinating collection spanning many eras that was consigned to this auction by the family of an old-time collector. This is a fun collection of relatively affordable, mostly low-grade quality old cards with lots of variety and many highlights. Total 37 cards. Reserve $300. Estimate $500+. SOLD FOR $1,410
