Graded NM 7 by PSA. Of the 514 examples graded by PSA, only fourteen cards have been graded higher. Presented is an extraordinary high-grade example of one of collecting's most classic cards, the T206 portrait of Walter Johnson. The T206 Walter Johnson portrait is one of the most famous of all vintage baseball cards. This card is widely recognized to be among Walter Johnson's most striking cards. In fact, the majestic portrait of Johnson on this card is considered by many advanced collectors to be the single best image of Walter Johnson to appear on any baseball card. This is example displays four sharp corners and brilliant colors. Centered very slightly to the left (approximately 60/40), with just a barely detectable tilt to the image and the slightest hint of toning in the extreme lower right. Bright and clean, both front and back. Boldly printed Piedmont reverse. This card would be a significant highlight in even the most advanced world-class classic vintage Hall of Fame card collection.
