1909-1911 T206 White Border PSA-Graded Collection (98)

Starting Bid - $1,500, Sold For - $5,875

Collection of ninety-eight very attractive T206 cards, mostly commons but including two Southern Leaguers, Dahlen Brooklyn team variation, and several unusual backs (Sovereign, El Principe De Gales, Old Mill, etc.). All are different. All have been graded and encapsulated by PSA. Seventy-eight of the ninety-eight cards are graded VG-EX 4 by PSA, sixteen VG, and four Good. In the list below, all have Piedmont or Sweet Caporal advertisements on back unless otherwise noted. This is a substantial collection representing 19% of a complete T206 set, in an extremely desirable condition. PSA Condition Report: Seventy-eight VG-EX 4: Abbaticchio (brown sleeves), Abbott, Arellanes, Bescher (hands in air, Cycle), Bowerman, Bransfield, Brashear, Bridwell (no cap), Burch (batting), Burchell, Butler (Sovereign), Cassidy, Chappelle, Chase (blue port.), Criss (Sovereign), Dahlen (Bklyn), Donovan (port.), Downey (batting), Doyle (NY Natl., with bat), Ewing, Freeman, Frill, Ganley, Geyer (Cycle), Goode, Hall, Herzog (NY), Hoffman (Providence), Howell (hand at waist, Old Mill), Jones (St. Louis), Karger, Kisinger, Latham (Tolstoi), Lundgren (KC), McLean, McQuillan (bat), Merritt, Milligan, Myers (fielding), Needham, Nicholls (hands on knees), Nicholls (batting), Niles, Oldring (fielding), Paskert, Pastorius, Pelty (horizontal), Perring, Pfeister (throwing), Phelps, Pickering, Raymond, Revelle (Southern Leaguer, Old Mill), Rhoades (arm extend), Rucker (port., El Principe De Gales), Schaefer (Det.), Schlafly (Polar Bear), Schlei (catching), Schlei (port., Old Mill), Schmidt (throwing), Seymour (batting, Sovereign), Sheckard (glove), Sheckard (no glove), Slagle, Snodgrass (batting), Snodgrass (catching), Stahl (glove, Old Mill), Stanage, Steinfeldt (port.), Steinfeldt (bat, Polar Bear), Stone, Street (port.), Sullivan, Tannehill (Wash, Polar Bear), Unglaub, Weimer, Wilhelm (hands at chest, El Principe De Gales), and Willett. Four GOOD 2: G. Brown (Chi.), Payne (Sovereign), Westlake (Southern Leaguer), and White (port.). Note: The twenty-four cards in this group that are graded lower than VG-EX are overall particularly strong for their assigned grades. This is a substantial group that could serve as an outstanding foundation for a medium-grade T206 set, or make a very significant contribution to the upgrading or building of a set currently being assembled. PSA VG-EX 4 T206 commons list for $70 each. The total SMR value of the collection is $6,292. Total 98 cards. Reserve $1,500. Estimate $3,000/$5,000+. SOLD FOR $5,875
