1909-1911 E90-1 American Caramel Rarities Collection (3)
Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $2,233
Collection of three extreme rarities from the popular E90-1 American Caramel set, including Hall of Famer Ed Walsh. Each card is graded and encapsulated by PSA, SGC, or GAI. 1) Peaches Graham (SGC GOOD 30, solid Vg-Ex card downgraded for a light ink stamp on the reverse). Graham has always been regarded as one of the rarest cards in the E90-1 set, and in the old days was thought of as being as rare as Mitchell, Cinn. Mitchell may have gotten more press and is now more famous and valuable, but in our experience Graham and several other key cards in the set (including Walsh) are just as rare. 2) Jake Stahl (GAI Good 2, perfectly registered image set against a bold red background, with heavily rounded corners, and a couple creases). 3) Ed Walsh (HOF, PSA VG 3, Ex-Mt appearance downgraded for a diagonal crease in the upper left). E90-1 American Caramels are particularly challenging to collect due to the many rarities included in the set. Walsh is one of the few Hall of Famers that is also an extremely rare card in the set. We can't help but mention that Walsh is also a rare card in the T205 Gold Border set. This guy couldn't get a break from the card manufacturers. This is a very attractive collection of three particularly noteworthy E90-1 rarities. These are three of the key cards that keep collectors from completing this set! The equivalent SMR value for the assigned grades is $1,490. Total 3 cards. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000+. SOLD FOR $2,233
