1965 Philadelphia Football Unopened Wax Box (24 Packs)

Starting Bid - $400, Sold For - $2,644

Complete original unopened 24-count wax box of the 1965 Philadelphia football (nineteen packs unopened, five packs present but opened). The box contains twenty-four wax packs with each pack containing five cards, for a total of 120 cards. The 1965 Philadelphia set features all the stars of the day including Unitas, Brown, Warfield, Renfro, Hornung, Starr, Tarkenton, and many more. While it is impossible to provide guarantees with reference to grading of unopened material, there is, of course, the very real possibility that within this box are Gem Mint cards of these stars. The packs range from Vg to Vg-Ex condition (except five which are opened). The box is in technically Good condition due to separation on all four panels. This is a very rarely seen complete unopened 1965 Philadelphia football box. As a special courtesy to REA, all unopened boxes and cases in this auction have been personally reviewed by world renowned unopened box and case expert Steve Hart of the Baseball Card Exchange. Reserve $400. Estimate $800+. SOLD FOR $2,644
