1969 Pittsburgh Pirates Team-Signed Ball with Roberto Clemente

Official National League (Giles) ball signed in blue ink by the following thirty members of the 1969 Pittsburgh Pirates: Clemente, Stargell, Mazeroski, Bunning, Alley, Moose, Kolb, Virdon (coach), Law (coach), Alou, Gibbon, Shepard (Mgr., sweet spot, clubhouse signature), Sanguillen, Veale, Taylor, May, Hebner, Hartenstein, Oliver, Marone, Davis, Martinez, Walker, Blass, Grammas (coach; he later took as team manager after Shepard was fired), Ellis (clubhouse signature), Dal Canton, Patek, Pagan, and one other (illegible). Signatures range from "6" to "9," averaging "8." This is a remarkably complete 1969 Pirates team ball featuring twenty-seven of the thirty-five roster players, including all of the "keys." Aside from an extremely tiny area of discoloration touching upon the Patek signature, the ball is in outstanding Near Mint condition. LOA from James Spence/JSA. Reserve $200. Estimate $500+.
