1972 Jackie Robinson Signed Check

Bank check signed by Hall of Fame second baseman Jackie Robinson. The check, dated July 24, 1972, and drawn on the Freedom National Bank of New York, is made out to "New York Telephone" in the amount of $21.46. It is signed "Jack R. Robinson" in blue ink (grading "10"). A stamped endorsement appears on the reverse. The check (6 x 2.75 inches) displays normal bank cancellation stamps on each side, as well as a paper clip impression in the upper left corner. In Excellent to Mint condition overall. This check originates from the Robinson family and is accompanied by a custom presentation folder and one-page letter from Rachel Robinson attesting to its provenance and authenticity.
