The 1961 World Champion New York Yankees are one of baseball's most celebrated teams and are universally recognized as one of the greatest clubs of all time. Offered here is an amazing 1961 New York Yankees signature collection comprised of a team-signed reunion bat, a team-signed ball, thirty-six single-signed balls, thirty-nine signed baseball cards, twenty-eight signed photos, and four miscellaneous pieces. 1) Team-Signed Reunion Bat. 1961 Yankees commemorative bat signed in blue marker (grading "8" to "10") by the following thirty-two team members: Ford, Berra, Thomas, Sheldon, Sain (coach), Gardner, DeMaestri, Stafford, Coates, James, Duren, Hale, Terry, McDevitt, Tresh, Richardson, Ditmar, Arroyo, Reed, Boyer, Downing, Skowron, Reniff, Blanchard, Lopez, Clevenger, Gonder, Daley (twice), Kubek, Turley, Cerv, and Houk (Mgr.). 34 inches in length. Mt. 2) Team-Signed Ball. Twenty-four blue ink signatures ("7" to "10," averaging "8/9") on a Hall of Fame souvenir ball: Mantle (clubhouse, sweet spot), Berra (sweet spot), Maris, Daley, Lopez, DeMaestri, Clevenger, Turley, Boyer, Ford, Gardner, Richardson, Sheldon, Kubek, Skowron, Reniff, Terry, Cerv, Hale, Coates, Downing, Tresh, Howard, and Arroyo. "1961 New York Yankees" is inscribed on the ball label. Ex-Mt. 3) Single-Signed Balls (36). Unless otherwise noted, all of the balls are either official National or American League balls (Nr-Mt, dating from the 1970s or later) and all have been signed in blue or black ink ("9/10") on the sweet spot. Unless otherwise noted, all of the cards are 1986 Renata Galasso "1961 Yankees" color cards (Nr-Mt) and have been signed on the front in a variety of inks (signatures all strong, ranging in grade from "9" to "10").
