1961 New York Yankees World Champions Team-Signed Baseball

This New York Yankees souvenir ball (manufactured by Spalding) has been signed in both blue and black ink by the following twenty-four members of the 1961 World Champion New York Yankees: Mantle (sweet spot, clubhouse signature), Maris (opposite sweet spot, above the ball label, "8"), Berra (sweet spot), Ford, Kubek, Sheldon, Arroyo, Gardner, Cerv, Boyer, Howard, Daley, Reniff, Downing, Lopez, Clevenger, Blanchard, Stafford, DeMaestri, Turley, Terry, Richardson, Skowron, and Torgenson. The fifteen blue-ink signatures grade "8/9" on average, whereas the nine black-ink signatures have slightly faded and average "6/7." The ball displays a few small areas of scattered light age toning and is in Excellent condition overall. LOA from James Spence/JSA. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$1,500. SOLD FOR $705.00
