Elmer Flick Signed Black-and-White Hall of Fame Postcard

Starting Bid - $200.00 , Sold For - $235.00

Black-and-white (Artvue) Hall of Fame postcard of Elmer Flick, signed in blue ink (grading “8/9”) in the lower margin. Black-and-white Hall of Fame postcards were only issued between the years 1944 and 1963. Flick was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1963, thus this card was only issued for one year. The limited number of cards produced, combined with the fact that Flick passed away just eight years later, are both factors contributing to the scarcity of his signed black-and-white Hall of Fame postcards today. The card has an extremely tiny crease in the extreme lower left corner, as well as two small strips of clear tape on the reverse related to its once having been mounted, and is otherwise Ex-Mt. LOA from James Spence/JSA. Reserve $200. Estimate $400+. SOLD FOR $235.00
