1957 Topps #95 Mickey Mantle PSA NM-MT 8

Starting Bid - $500.00 , Sold For - $3,231.25

Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. Stunning high-grade example of what is universally recognized as one of Mantle's most classic cards. In addition to being one of Mantle's most striking and popular cards, this card dates from one of Mantle's MVP years and follows his finest season (1956 triple crown stats: 52 home runs, 130 RBI, .353 batting average). Getting this card in a pack in 1957 was as good as it got. The image used on the card features a young "Mick" in a mighty swing-thru pose. This is a particularly sharp example, with perfect registration and flawless surface. Centered very slightly to the left (approximately 45/55 L/R) with snow-white borders, four razor-sharp corners, and a flawless reverse. Solid Nr/Mt-Mt example, virtually unimprovable and bordering on Mint condition. SMR value for the assigned grade is $2,300. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000+. SOLD FOR $3,231.25
