1956 Topps #10 Warren Spahn PSA GEM MINT 10

Starting Bid - $1,500.00 , Sold For - $6,462.50

Graded GEM MT 10 by PSA. One of only two examples graded by PSA at this extraordinary level. Stellar ultra high-grade example of Hall of Fame pitcher Warren Spahn from the 1956 Topps series. To get even a modern card into a PSA 10 holder is an accomplishment. A 1956 Topps in a PSA 10 holder is a card-collecting miracle! This card is, not surprisingly, an extraordinary example in all respects: Bright, clean, and crisp, with perfect centering, a flawless image, and four pack-fresh corners. Perfectly clean both front and back. 1956 Topps rarely survive in GEM MINT condition, in part because the paper stock is so prone to wear, especially to the corners. Out of the 133,287 1956 Topps PSA has graded to date, only sixty-two have been graded GEM MINT 10. These numbers speak for themselves. It is very difficult to provide a meaningful estimate on a card such as this. Even SMR does not provide a value for 1956 Topps cards in GEM MINT condition. We are confident that the auction process will establish the true market value of this outstanding gem. Reserve $1,500. Estimate $3,000+. SOLD FOR $6,462.50
