1955 Bowman Complete Set (320)

Starting Bid - $1,000.00 , Sold For - $3,818.75

90% range from Ex to Nr/Mt (averaging Ex-Mt), 10% lesser grades. This is an extremely high-grade set of 1955 Bowman. The flush-to-the-border wood-grain design of this issue makes them particularly susceptible to corner and edge wear. Thirty-one cards are graded by PSA and twelve cards are graded by SGC. The PSA grades are as follows: Ten NM 7: #s 31, 37 Reese, 68 Howard RC, 158 Hodges, 204, 241, 288, 296, 308 Lopez, 320 (last card of set). Seventeen EX-MT 6: #9, 22 Campanella, 48, 65 Zimmer RC, 101, 134 Feller, 168 Berra, 195, 225 (OC), 242 Banks, 244, 259, 260, 280, 285, 302, 306. Four EX 5: #1 Wilhelm, 156, 169 Furillo, 202 Mantle. The SGC grades are as follows: Two NM 84: #10 Rizzuto and 315 Hubbard. Five EX/NM 80: #33 Fox, 130 Ashburn, 132 Kuenn, 171 Roberts, 184 Mays. Three EX+ 70: #103 Mathews, 143 Newcombe, 191 Lemon. Two EX 60: #38 Wynn and 179 Aaron. A very crisp, clean, and sharp-looking complete set of Bowman's final baseball card issue. SMR value for just the forty-three graded cards alone is $1,995. Total 320 cards. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,000/$3,000+. SOLD FOR $3,818.75
