Very unusual and eclectic assortment of fourteen cards and one matchbook, dating from 1909 to 1948, including representation from fourteen different issues. These cards were saved by an old-time autograph collector who years ago picked up cards of Hall of Famers to provide images of players for his albums. This is a fascinating group of Hall of Famers from many different quality issues. 1) 1909-1911 E90-1 American Caramel: Tinker (Gd-Vg). 2) 1909-1910 W555: Plank (pencil notations on back, otherwise Vg-Ex/Ex). 3) 1910-1911 S74 Silks: Cobb (white variety, Vg-Ex). 4) 1913 WG5 National Game: Marquard (Ex). 5) 1914 B18 Blankets: two Maranville (white and brown infields, both Vg-Ex/Ex). 6) 1914 T222 Fatima: Huggins (SGC VG 40). 7) 1916 BF2 Ferguson Bakery Felt Pennants: Marquard (Ex). 8) 1922 E121 American Caramel – Series of 120: Sisler/batting (Vg). 9) 1929 W553: Simmons (Vg due to a crease but this is a very crisp, clean, card in otherwise Excellent condition). 10) 1930 W554: Gehrig (Vg-Ex). 11) 1935 Wheaties – Series 1: Gehrig (Vg). 12) 1947 Tip-Top Bread: Berra (rookie card, Vg, with blue Sharpie autograph). 13) 1948 Swell Sport Thrills: #14 Gehrig (Vg). 14) Circa 1940s Honus Wagner Matchbook: Unusual and rare large (9 x 3.5-inch) novelty matchbook used as a promotional vehicle to promote sporting goods for the Honus Wagner Co., with portrait of Wagner. Vg condition. This is a very unusual assortment with many interesting highlights, including a particularly sharp looking 1914 T222 Fatima of Hall of Famer Miller Huggins. Total 14 items.
