1934 Goudey #13 Frank Frisch PSA NM-MT 8
Starting Bid - $500.00 , Sold For - $940.00
Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. Highest-graded example. Frisch was the manager and leader of the "Gashouse Gang." He batted .316 lifetime, was the National League's Most Valuable Player in 1931, and participated in eight World Series championships during his nineteen Major League seasons. Frisch was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1947. This exceptionally high grade example exhibits four sharp corners, deep, bold colors, just a hint of age toning along the extreme edge of the right border, and perfect clarity. The centering is slightly to the bottom and right. The reverse is flawless with distinct, bold green printing. As a low-number series card in the 1934 Goudey set, the #13 Frisch is particularly difficult to find in high grade. This is a beautiful and extremely high grade example of one of Frisch's most desirable cards. SMR value for the assigned grade is $1,350. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$1,500. SOLD FOR $940.00
