Graded NM/MT+ 92 by SGC. Outstanding high-grade example of #64 Burleigh Grimes from the 1933 Goudey set. Hall of Famer Burleigh Grimes is captured in a throwing pose, set against a deep blue background. Burleigh Grimes was the last legal spitball pitcher in the majors. In a nineteen-year career that ended in 1934, he twice led the league in victories and topped the twenty-win mark five times. This extremely high-grade 1933 Goudey example displays bold colors, flawless registration, a perfectly clean front and back, and four sharp corners. Well centered, with a flawless off-white reverse with bold green lettering. This card would be a worthy addition to any world-class Goudey set or Hall of Fame card collection.
