1925 Champions Babe Ruth Exhibit Style Card

Starting Bid - $300.00 , Sold For - $1,880.00

Graded EX 5 by PSA. Highest-graded example! Extremely rare Exhibit style card (3-3/8 x 5-3/8 inches) features Babe Ruth in a follow-through swing. This striking card was one in a series of thirty-two cards featuring the top athletes of the day, with a different athlete representing each sport. Babe Ruth was chosen to represent baseball, and he is the only ball player in the set. A small white box in the lower left corner has the printed notation “Babe Ruth [U.S.A.] World’s Champion Baseball Player.” Crisp and clean front and back with a blank reverse. One of Babe Ruth’s rarest Exhibit cards and one of only several examples we have ever seen. This is special and very distinctive looking Ruth card has received very little attention, in large part simply because of its great rarity. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000. SOLD FOR $1,880.00
