1911 T3 Turkey Red Hall of Famers SGC-Graded Collection (2)

Starting Bid - $300.00 , Sold For - $1,410.00

Two different Hall of Famers from the T3 Turkey Red cabinet series, each of which has been graded and encapsulated by SGC. This is a very clean and attractive pair. One has the Turkey Red advertisement and the other has the checklist back. 1) #101 Wee Willie Keeler (GOOD 30). We grade this card Vg-Ex. No major creases, just a light surface wrinkle in the middle of the bottom border visible only from the reverse, and a little corner wear. Downgraded by SGC due to the card number “#101” written in pencil on the back. Striking and beautiful card with brilliant colors. 2) #125 Ed Walsh (GOOD 30). Bright and crisp, with vibrant colors, even rounding to the corners, and a very light diagonal crease in the upper left corner. Downgraded by SGC due to a tiny 0.25-inch tear on the border edge at the center of the top border. Checklist back. These cards represent a tremendous value in this unusual grade (with such modest numerical grades due to very specific minor flaws, and each with a much stronger appearance). This is an extremely attractive pair of Hall of Famers from one of card collecting's most classic sets, each with far better eye-appeal (especially the Keeler!) than suggested by their assigned grades. Total 2 cards. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000. SOLD FOR $1,410.00
