1911 T205 Gold Borders Rarities PSA-Graded Collection (4)

Starting Bid - $500.00 , Sold For - $1,880.00

Collection of four high-grade rarities (out of the approximately twenty-four rare cards in the set) from the 1911 T205 Gold Border set, all graded and encapsulated by PSA: 1) W.F Dahlen. Graded EX 5 by PSA. The card has light, even wear to the corners, striking colors, and a few scattered hints of very minor chipping along the gold borders. Centered slightly to the bottom right. Piedmont back. 2) Bob Harmon (only left ear shows). Graded EX-MT 6 by PSA. Bright and crisp, with light, even wear to the corners (predominately the upper left), perfect registration, and practically no chipping to the gold borders. Centered 30/70 L/R. Hassan back. 3) Terry Turner. Graded EX-MT 6 by PSA. Very attractive card, with four square corners showing just a hint of white at the extreme tips, bright, bold colors, well centered, with virtually perfect gold borders. Hassan advertisement on reverse. This is a very strong example of one of the key rare cards in the T205 set. 4) George Wiltse (right ear only). Graded EX 5 by PSA. Bright and clean, with a striking blue background, light wear to the corners (predominately the lower right), slightly out-of-focus registration, and practically no chipping to the gold borders. Centered to the top right. Piedmont back. T205 Gold Borders are particularly challenging to collect due to the many rarities included in the set. Even excluding the rare back variations, there is no escaping the fact that approximately twenty-four rare cards are needed for completion of the 208-card T205 set. This is a sharp, high-grade collection of four of these significant T205 rarities. The SMR value for the assigned grades is $2,450. Total 4 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000+. SOLD FOR $1,880.00
