1911 M116 Sporting Life Tris Speaker PSA NM-MT 8

Starting Bid - $1,500.00 , Sold For - $5,875.00

Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. One of only five graded at this level by PSA. Featuring a majestic portrait of the legendary outfielder, the Tris Speaker card is one of the key Hall of Famers in the M116 Sporting Life set. Since there is no portrait card of Speaker in the T206 series, this card is all the more appreciated by collectors; it is also universally recognized as one of Speaker's most striking baseball cards from the 1910 era. This is a stunning card in all respects. All four corners are razor-sharp (the lower left shows the very slightest hint of wear visible only under extreme magnification). The card is perfectly clean, both front and back, with flawless registration and snow-white borders. The centering on front is approximately 35/65 left to right. The back of the card is also centered just a hint toward the right. This card would be a worthy addition to even the most advanced world-class vintage-card collection, and a highlight in any high-grade M116 Sporting Life, Tris Speaker, or Hall of Fame card collection. SMR value for the assigned grade is $5,500. Reserve $1,500. Estimate $3,000/$5,000+. SOLD FOR $5,875.00
