1909-1911 T206 White Borders Hall of Famer Collection Including Uzit (35)

Starting Bid - $1,000.00 , Sold For - $4,112.50

Thirty-five different T206 Hall of Famers, including Cy Young, two Nap Lajoies (one with a rare “Uzit” advertisement), and two Walter Johnsons, ranging in grade from Pr to Vg-Ex (averaging about Vg). This is a great-looking group. There are only seventy-six Hall of Famers (including Wagner and Plank) in the entire T206 set. This is a tremendous start to a complete set of this extremely significant subset. The collection is in mixed grade, but even the lowest-graded cards are very respectable examples with great eye-appeal. We have selected six cards to be graded by SGC. The collection is comprised of the following: Bender/trees (Vg), Bender/port. (Fr), Bresnahan/port. (Vg), Bresnahan/bat (Gd-Vg), Brown/Chicago (Gd), Brown/ port. (SGC VG 40), Chance/batting (Vg-Ex), Chance/yellow (Gd-Vg), Collins/Phila. (Gd), Crawford/throw (Vg), George Davis (ink on the back, otherwise Vg-Ex), Evers/port. (Vg/Vg-Ex), Flick (Vg), Huggins/hands at mouth (Vg), Huggins/port. (Pr), Jennings/both hands (Polar Bear back, Gd), Johnson/hands at chest (SGC VG 40), Johnson/port. (SGC VG 40), Joss/pitching (Vg), Joss/port. (Vg/Vg-Ex), Keeler/port. (Gd-Vg), Lajoie/port. (SGC GOOD 30), Lajoie/bat (Poor condition, Uzit advertising back), Marquard/hands at thighs (Vg), Marquard/pitching (Vg), McGinnity (Vg), McGraw/finger (Gd), McGraw/glove (SGC VG-EX 50), McGraw/no cap (Gd), Speaker (miscut along the bottom, Vg), Tinker/hands on knees (Pr), Waddell/port. (Vg), Waddell/throw (Vg/Vg-Ex), Walsh (Fr-Gd), and Young/port. (SGC VG 40). Backs are all Sweet Caporal and Piedmont, except the one extremely rare low-grade Uzit back of Hall of Famer Nap Lajoie. This is a very attractive mid-grade collection of Hall of Famers from the most popular and classic set of the era. Total 35 cards. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,000/$3,000. SOLD FOR $4,112.50
