1932 R114 U.S. Caramel "Presidents" SGC-Graded Collection (3)
Starting Bid - $300.00 , Sold For - $2,937.50
Collection of three incredibly high-grade cards from the classic 1932 R114 U.S. Caramel "Presidents" set, each graded and encapsulated by SGC. These are extraordinary high-grade gems. It's hard not to do a "double take" when presented with this trio due to their condition. We've never even seen U.S. Caramels this sharp. Each is the highest-ever graded example by SGC. 1) William Harrison (NM/MT 88. Ninth President; centered slightly to the left, 30/70 L/R, with a bold, crisp red background, perfectly clean front and back, with four razor-sharp corners). 2) James Garfield (NM+ 86. Twentieth President; well centered with flawless portrait, four sharp corners, a brilliant red background, and a perfect reverse). 3) Chester Arthur (NM/MT 88. Twenty-first President; perfectly centered, with flawless colors, four razor-sharp corners, and a perfect, bold blue-text printed reverse). The "Presidents" set is actually rarer than the popular R328 U.S. Caramel "Famous Athletes" series. This is a stunning ultra high-grade group of cards from one of card collecting's most popular nonsport issues, with all cards having the "honest toning" that is often a characteristic of original-owner untampered-with cards from this series. These are difficult to value because of their extraordinary condition. Total 3 cards. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000+. SOLD FOR $2,937.50
