1933 R73 Goudey Indian Gum PSA NM-MT 8 Collection (10)

Starting Bid - $300.00 , Sold For - $4,112.50

Collection of ten ultra-high grade 1933 "Indian Gum" cards. Issued by Goudey Gum Co., "Indian Gum" is one of the most popular and difficult to complete of all the 1930s gum-card issues. Offered is a collection of ten cards, each graded and encapsulated NM-MT 8 by PSA: #32, 34, 40, 44, 46, 48, 61 Sam Houston, 67, 76, and 88. Each of the ten cards, as of this writing, have five or fewer examples graded at this level, with none graded higher. This is an exceptional high-grade collection, with each card worthy of inclusion in the finest "Indian Gum" set or nonsport collection. SMR has just begun listing values for a few of the most classic nonsport sets each month. These cards list for $940 in SMR, but if the premium over SMR for 1930s nonsport cards in this extremely high grade is even a modest fraction of that of 1930s baseball cards, the market value for this lot may be significantly higher. Total 10 cards. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000. SOLD FOR $4,112.50
