Menu Used in the Famous Final Episode of The Sopranos

Starting Bid - $200.00 , Sold For - $1,175.00

The final episode of The Sopranos was one of the most anticipated events in television history and will forever be remembered for its enigmatic "blackout" ending. The episode's final scene took place at Holsten's, a restaurant/ice cream parlor located in Bloomfield, New Jersey (not too far from Robert Edward Auctions). Offered here is one of the original Holsten's menus used in the final episode of The Sopranos. (Note: The final scene, and this very menu, can be viewed on YouTube at this web address: The menu is accompanied by a signed LOA from Stephen Martinique, the son of one of the owners of the restaurant, attesting to its provenance. In his letter, which is handwritten on a Holsten's invoice dated July 10, 2007, he writes: "This menu is one of five original Holsten's menus used during the filming of the final scene of The Sopranos on March 22, 2007. This menu, along with one other, which is being kept by our family, was used interchangeably throughout the night. At the end of the night, this menu along with our menu, were tucked behind the jukebox on the table where the family ate their last meal. As son of one of the owners and an extra in the last scene, I was present at Holsten's and able to obtain these menus. This is an authentic item that will forever be in television history." REA has independently contacted the owners of Holstens and they have verified the sale and authenticity of the menu. They sold this menu on eBay and it has been consigned to this auction directly from the purchaser, who has also supplied a letter of provenance. This is an amazing Sopranos item! The fold-over menu (8.5 x 11 inches) features a photo of the storefront on the cover and is Mint condition. Reserve $200. Estimate (open). SOLD FOR $1,175.00
