1948 Babe Ruth Watch with Original Case, Box, Registration Card, and Punch Board

Starting Bid - $500.00 , Sold For - $2,115.00

Offered here is a phenomenal high-grade Babe Ruth watch collection that includes the watch, the ball-shaped case, the retail box, the instruction sheet, and the gold-colored registration card. Also included, and ideal for display with the watch, is a 1945 unused punch board that lists the Babe Ruth Watch as the top prize. Both the watch and case are in extraordinary Mint condition. The box (3 x 3 x 3 inches) is in equally remarkable condition, especially given its extremely fragile nature. Aside from a few slight tears along the edges of the three top flaps (no paper loss), the box is in Excellent to Mint condition. Many of the Babe Ruth watches found today don't include the original box, and when the box is present it is normally in Poor to Fair condition. The offered box is a true condition rarity and one of the finest examples we have ever seen. The instruction sheet is in Excellent to Mint condition and the registration card is in Very Good condition, with a slight tear along the perforated "Sportsman's Pledge" card (no paper loss) and a few slight creases. The punch board (7 x 7 inches) has never been used and is in Near Mint condition. The original punch key remains sealed on the reverse. This is an outstanding example (possibly the finest we have ever offered) of one of the most popular and classic of all Ruth collectibles, accompanied by all of the materials which originally came with it, as well as the related punch board, which is also ideal for display. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$1,500. SOLD FOR $2,115.00
