1939 Hall of Fame Signed First Day Covers Including Wagner and Johnson (5)

Choice collection of five outstanding single-signed 1939 Hall of Fame first-day covers comprised of envelopes signed, respectively, by Walter Johnson, Honus Wagner, Tris Speaker, Connie Mack, and Eddie Collins. All of the signatures have been scripted in black ink with the exception of Wagner (blue ink) and each grades “9/10.” The first day covers are each different in their design and all have been postmarked from Cooperstown on June 12, 1939. All bear handwritten or typed addresses on the front with the exception of the Wagner envelope. These signed first-day covers have long been in an advanced private collection and have not seen the light of day in approximately twenty years. Each envelope measures 6.5 x 3.5 inches and is in Excellent condition overall. This is a stunning group including several of the rarest and most desirable Hall of Famer signatures one could possibly have on 1939 first-day covers. LOA from James Spence/JSA.
