1962 Topps Baseball 3rd Series (Mantle Series) Cello Pack
Starting Bid - $200.00, Sold For - $1,527.50
Graded NM-MT+ 8.5 by GAI. This is an original unopened cello pack of 1962 Topps baseball cards. It is a virtually perfect, clean and tightly sealed cello pack with no tears. 1962 Topps cards are notorious for having corner and edge wear, so an unopened pack with twelve essentially perfect, literally never-touched-by-human-hands cards of this condition-sensitive issue has an added dimension of appeal. The top card is the Yankees team card. Card #207 Pete Burnside appears on the bottom of the pack. Also of note is the inclusion of a panel of bonus stamps which were added as an insert, one panel per pack. The panel in this pack features John Edwards and Jerry Walker. Being from the third series, it is very possible that this pack includes #200 Mickey Mantle, the key card from this popular set. This is an exceptionally rare unopened cello pack in extraordinary perfect condition, looking exactly as it did when it appeared on the candy store shelf in 1962. Reserve $200. Estimate $400/$600.
