1954 Topps Baseball Unopened Cello Pack

Starting Bid - $500.00, Sold For - $5,581.25

Graded NM 7 by GAI. Offered is an extraordinarily crisp, fresh-looking, original unopened 1954 Topps twelve-card cello pack. This is a clean and very tightly sealed cello pack with no tears, which are all so common with cello packs from this era. The 1954 Topps cello packs are particularly rare. This is the first example that we can recall ever offering. The top card is Howie Fox. Card #214 of Arnold Portocarrero appears on the bottom of the pack. It is a miracle that any packs of cards from more than half a century ago still exist in their original unopened state. They are, of course, very rare, and this is one of the few survivors from the glory days of baseball cards of the early 1950s. This is an extraordinary high-grade unopened pack of 1954 Topps, one of the most popular of all early Topps issues, containing twelve essentially perfect (no guarantees, but possibly PSA 9 or PSA 10 quality) never-touched-by-human-hands cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000. SOLD FOR $5,581.25
