1955 Topps Complete PSA NM 7 Graded Set (206)

Starting Bid - $5,000.00, Sold For - $19,975.00

The 1955 Topps set has always been one of the most popular sets of the 1950s. Issued in the heart of the decade, the 1955 Topps set includes everyone from Aaron to Williams, and features the rookie cards of Sandy Koufax and Roberto Clemente, all in brilliant, stunning color, and in an exciting then brand new horizontal design. Presented is one of the finest sets of this classic issue ever assembled. All of the 206 cards in this complete set have been graded NM 7 by PSA. As any collector of high grade early 1950s cards knows, assembling a complete set of any 1950s vintage issue all in the exact same grade is a daunting challenge, and this is even more so the case with 1955 Topps than with many other 1950s issues. The assembly of a set of this high quality and unrivaled consistency is the result of a tremendous amount of time, effort, and patience. Many 1955 Topps cards and high numbers are particularly challenging to find in high grade, especially due to print lines and centering issues. This is a spectacular set and an extraordinary collecting achievement. PSA grading composite: All 206 cards are graded NM 7: including #2 Williams, 4 Kaline, 28 Banks, 31 Spahn, 47 Aaron, 50 Robinson, 92 Zimmer RC, 100 Irvin, 120 Kluszewski, 123 Koufax RC, 124 Killebrew RC, 125 Boyer, 152 Agganis RC, 155 Mathews, 164 Clemente, 187 Hodges, 189 Rizzuto, 194 Mays, 198 Berra, and 210 Snider. This set was assembled one card at a time by a very dedicated condition-conscious collector over a period of many years, with a concern for all factors, but with a special consideration to overall eye appeal. This is an extremely attractive high-grade complete set of this classic early Topps issue, entirely graded NM 7 by PSA. The total SMR value for the individual cards exceeds $15,000. Total 206 cards. Reserve $5,000. Estimate $10,000+ SOLD FOR $19,975.00
